Tomsetts Distribution Ltd is a well-known Sussex logistics company founded 50 years ago. We have been working with Tomsetts since 2018, managing and maintaining an existing WordPress website and, more recently, designing and building a new site launched in 2023.

Following a recent management buyout at Tomsetts, the new company vision is dedicated to a greener future for transport. We are delighted to support their new initiative and have already commenced work with them to update and improve their existing online content to reflect their green ambitions.

Engaging and logical UX design

Effective web design is now driven more by audience, website data and SEO practices, we therefore undertook some worthwhile competitor research prior to improving the information architecture and navigation system.

We worked collaboratively with Tomsetts throughout this process, focusing on target audiences and past visitor behaviours. We also moved hosting to a super-fast Cloudflare hosting option, which provides visitors with a faster experience from the moment they access the site.

A bespoke WordPress design

We created a custom-built website specifically tailored to attract new clients looking to change their haulage company and for regular pallet deliveries. Tomsett’s cabs and trailers are branded and recognised across Sussex and other parts of the UK so we photographed the latest vehicles and staff members.

The images have been used throughout the site to convey a professional company but with a personal approach in a very competitive sector.

Case studies for web and print design

During the last few months, we have completed various in-depth case studies for use on the website and in print. Photographs and videos have been taken at the client’s warehouse or factory to reinforce reviews and the strong personal relationship that Tomsett’s maintain with their clients.

The photography is used across all digital marketing as well as on traditional print and exhibition material.

Brochure design and content

We have designed stationery, brochures and exhibition material for Tomsetts, all aligned to the brand values. We are currently working on a new image-led brochure for 2024.
