The Brief
Leather4Craft is a family-run business that specialises in supplying the global craft market with high-end leather in cut pieces rather than whole hides. With an extensive range of over 20,000 sqft of leather, they offer Cowhide, Goatskin, Nappa, Sheepskin, Horween (branded), Suede, Nubuck, Pig Skin, Exotics, and Horse leather in every thickness, colour, and pattern imaginable. In addition to serving the craft market, they also supply whole hides to the wholesale market at competitive prices worldwide.
Our task was to design and develop a new e-commerce website that would enhance Leather4Craft’s online presence, improving usability, performance, and functionality. We migrated them from a slow and clunky WooCommerce system onto a powerful and fast Shopify platform, ensuring an optimised customer experience.
Designed for the Best UI Experience
Leather4Craft’s vast and diverse leather selection required a user-friendly and efficient browsing experience. To achieve this, we prioritised advanced search and filtering capabilities, allowing customers to effortlessly navigate over 1,000 products and variations.
By working closely with their team, we structured the site to reflect their unique offerings while maintaining an intuitive and visually appealing design. We also integrated a booking system, enabling customers to schedule in-store or virtual appointments to discuss their specific leather needs.
As with all our e-commerce projects, we focused on enhancing the customer journey and optimising the site for seamless navigation and high conversions.

Low stock notifications were implemented, alerting staff when inventory levels drop to a set threshold, ensuring timely restocking and preventing missed sales opportunities.

Shipping & Logistics Integration
To streamline order fulfillment and improve shipping efficiency, we integrated Shopify directly with Royal Mail and DHL:

Automated Order Syncing: Customer orders are automatically pulled into Royal Mail and DHL platforms, reducing manual data entry and improving processing speed.

Dynamic Shipping Costs: We added weights and dimensions to each product so that when customers add items to the cart, Shopify dynamically calculates the most accurate shipping rates based on weight, dimensions, and destination.

Regional & International Pricing: The shipping system automatically adjusts for different regions and countries, ensuring customers receive up-to-date and accurate delivery costs at checkout.
Marketing & SEO
To ensure Leather4Craft's new website reached its full potential, we implemented a comprehensive marketing strategy, including SEO, paid advertising, and email marketing:

301 Redirects: We carefully mapped and implemented 301 redirects from their previous WooCommerce website to maintain search engine rankings and prevent broken links.
